Examinations

Each half unit will be examined by one two-hour unseen written paper, except for 'Introduction to ancient philosophy' and 'The birth of Christian Europe' which will both be examined by one two-hour seen written paper. Each full unit will be examined by one three-hour unseen written paper.

You do not have to come to London to take your examinations. Examinations are held once a year in local overseas centres around the world as well as in London. Examinations overseas are arranged mainly through Ministries of Education or the British Council. You will be charged a fee by your local examination centre (this fee will vary). Examinations are held once a year, usually in May.
