Postgraduate
Postgraduate study in Citizenship Education
Is this course for
me?
The course has been
developed specifically for those teaching citizenship and for those in
supporting roles, e.g. school advisers, educational consultants and
administrators. The intercultural approach is relevant to any national
or international context of civics or citizenship education, and we
have had students from all five continents.
You will learn from
your fellow students and personal tutor, and gain the confidence to
put your new ideas into practice. You will need access to a school or
educational setting in order to undertake some of the tasks from the
course and evaluate practice.
If you have gained
credit from another Master’s programme, you may be eligible for
exemption from one of our modules.
Comprehensive study
materials and support
This course is
available via distance learning, allowing you to study flexibly for
this course whilst balancing work and personal commitments.
Working from your own
home and/or place of work, you will access the Virtual Learning
Environment (VLE) and will be guided through your study materials by
your tutor. You will take part in discussions and activities within
the OLE with your tutor and other students. To find out more about
