Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

Exemptions (application)

Complete the exemption section of the application form when you apply for admission. Alternatively, if you have already applied for admission, write to the Admissions Office (at the Stewart House address). Your exemption application must be received at the University by 17 September if you live outside the EU and 17 October if you live within the EU.

On receipt of your initial exemption application, the University will send you one of the following:

  • a decision letter telling you that certain automatic exemptions have been awarded OR
  • a letter asking for further documentary evidence before the University can make a decision on any automatic exemptions OR
  • an Exemption Request Pack for non-automatic exemptions, including a request for the relevant fees
  • a decision letter telling you that your request has been unsuccessful.

If you are applying for non-automatic exemptions, you must follow the instructions in the Exemption Request Pack, and send the request form, fee and necessary documentary evidence before the University can consider your application.

After the University has received your form, fee and documentary evidence, they will send you a decision as soon as possible.

Note: Unfortunately, the University cannot refund the exemption application fee, even if the University is unable to give you any exemptions.
