2. When the University has received your
application form they will send you an
acknowledgement and a student number. Please note that
they allocate a student number to everyone who applies -
it does not mean that you have been accepted onto the
MSc degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate
Certificate. If you have not received an acknowledgement
within three weeks of sending in your form, please
contact the Postgraduate Admissions office with details
of your full name, the qualification for which you have
applied and the date you posted your form.
3. The University will notify you
whether or not you have been accepted.
Note:
applications will only be considered when we
have received all the necessary documentation, including
the references.
4. If you are accepted,
you will be sent:
- an offer of registration
- a fee slip
- a registration form
- a copy of the Regulations
5. If you decide to register
you will need to complete your registration form and fee
slip and return these, along with the appropriate fee,
no later than 1 January.
6. Study
will commence in February.
Notes:
There is a definite start
to the study year for these courses - February each
year. Materials are despatched, usually by courier, from
the beginning of January each year to all students who
have paid the registration and course fees.
At its discretion, the
University will sometimes consider applications received
after 1 November. Enquiries should be made to the
Postgraduate Admissions Office.
35-hour Short courses
Students
register using the application form in the 35-hour Short
courses section of the website.
240- and 50-hour Short courses
Applicants to
the 240- and 50-hour Short courses should note that
there are no application and registration deadlines.
Instead, there is a rolling application process
throughout the year. You should be aware that there are
examination deadlines that have to be met in order to
sit exams in October.
Translation of Certificates and
Transcripts
If your certificates and transcripts are
printed in a language other than English you will need to have them
officially translated into English. Official translators are usually
listed in local telephone directories. When you have located one near to
you, take your original certificates and transcripts to their office.
The Translator should take a copy of the originals and stamp / emboss
them with an official seal and sign them. The originals should be
returned to you.
After the translation into English is
complete, the Translator should stamp / emboss these with the same
official seal and sign them. Each of the stamped / embossed / signed
documents both in English and the original language should be sent to
the University in London in support of your application.
If it is a Master level programme which
you are applying to join, your official translations will not be sent
back to you. If it is a Bachelor level programme which you are applying
to join and you would like the official translations returned to you,
add the sum of GBP5 to your Application Handling Fee and the University
will return them to you by Recorded Delivery.
