MSc and Postgraduate Diploma/ Certificate in International Primary Health Care

London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine has joined with the External Programme in offering Masters degrees. This means that you no longer need to come to London to study but can study at home. This is an exciting development and means that the School is better able to fulfill its mission in teaching; to paraphrase, this is ‘to contribute to health worldwide through the pursuit of excellence in postgraduate teaching and advanced training in international public health and tropical medicine.’

Three courses are available: the MSc and Postgraduate Diploma in Infectious Diseases, which builds on the School’s long tradition in the study of tropical medicine and infection; the MSc and Postgraduate Diploma in Health Systems Management, which responds to the worldwide realisation that effective delivery of public health and health care requires effective management; and the MSc and Postgraduate Diploma in Epidemiology: Principles and Practice, which builds on the School’s expertise in the study of disease patterns in populations.
